Social Justice at CLC
Social Justice at Catholic Ladies' College stems from the belief that individuals
and groups are obliged to apply Gospel values to the systems, structures and institutions
of society, including the school community.
At the heart of the Christian's actions for justice lies the response
in love and gratitude to the God who loves me and wishes for me to
love others.
THIS PHILOSOPHY TRANSLATES INTO THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:
Treating all people with respect and dignity
Raising awareness of current social injustices
Fundraising for charity organisations and organising special collections such as food
Public witness and activism: for example, Amnesty International letters
Leadership training with justice organisations
